Listen to Matt Howe, Program Director of The Plymouth House, talk about last year's event. Climb Above Addiction raised $7,000 for scholarships to

The Plymouth House, putting two people through treatment. This year, they are participating as a key partner for Climb Above Addiction.

Climb Above Addiction supports the work of The Plymouth House, a 12-step recovery retreat in NH and  CADY (Communities for Alcohol- and Drug-Free Youth), a comprehensive substance abuse prevention program. We seek to raise awareness of the addiction epidemic and to Climb Above Addiction by helping to prevent addiction and increasing available resources for treatment and recovery.

The proceeds from this year's Climb Above Addiction event will be used to invest in the youth of our community by contributing to CADY (Communities for Alcohol- and Drug-Free Youth). Their mission is to help our local youth make healthy and safe choices by working with schools, parents, youth, and communities to prevent and reduce youth alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use and to promote healthy environments and promising futures. Below is a video of Alex's Story, a young man that struggled with addiction and tells his story to schools around NH.

In an event similar to a fundraiser walk or 5K run, each team or participant will gather donations from sponsors to support a day of rock climbing, hiking, or outdoor activity which symbolizes "Climbing Above Addiction."  Though participants can "Climb Above Addiction" from anywhere in the world by signing up online and gaining sponsors, a  field day event  will be held at Rumney Rattlesnake Campground (415 Buffalo Rd, Rumney, NH ) on Saturday, May 4, 2019. (Rain date: May 5, 2019)

Hosted by Plymouth State University Students and Enactus social entrepreneurs.
