LEARN ABOUT OUR CAUSE

Listen to Matt Howe, Program Director of The Plymouth House, talk about the 1st Annual Climb Above Addiction, which raised $7,000 for scholarships to

The Plymouth House, putting two people through treatment.

WHAT WE DO

Climb Above Addiction supports the work of The Plymouth House, a 12-step recovery retreat in NH and CADY (Communities for Alcohol-and Drug-Free Youth), a comprehensive substance abuse prevention program. We seek to raise awareness of the addiction epidemic and to Climb Above Addiction by helping to prevent addiction and increasing available resources for treatment and recovery.

The $10,000 raised from the 2nd Annual Climb Above Addiction event was used to invest in the youth of our community by contributing to CADY (Communities for Alcohol- and Drug-Free Youth). Their mission is to help our local youth make healthy and safe choices by working with schools, parents, youth and communities to prevent and reduce youth alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use and to promote healthy environments and promising futures. Below is a video of Alex's Story, a young man that struggled with addiction and tells his story to schools around NH.

WHO WE ARE

We are Plymouth State University social entrepreneurs. Our goal is to raise awareness and funds to fight the addiction crisis. In an event similar to a fundraiser walk or 5K run, each team or participant gathers donations from sponsors to support a day of activities which symbolize "Climbing Above Addiction."  Participants can "Climb Above Addiction" from anywhere in the world by signing up online and gaining sponsors and attending our ONLINE event on Saturday, April 25, 2020, from 10 am-4 pm EST, sponsored by Plymouth State University.

Create a Team to Climb to support prevention and recovery from addiction.

Our goal is to raise $15,000 for CADY's Restorative Justice (Court Diversion) program, which gives a chance for first-time youth offenders to develop real-life skills and prevent future risky behaviors and its educational program on addiction known as Alex's Story.
